Milieu Ltd is a consultancy founded in 1994 to provide high quality services in the field of European Union and international environmental law and policy. From its base in Brussels, Milieu's EU-based experience ranges from legal and policy studies to drafting of EU environmental legislation. Their network of lawyers and policy experts enables them to draw on specialised expertise and language skills wherever needed. Their clients include the European Commission, European Parliament, European Investment Bank, European Environment Agency, World Bank, European Agency for Fundamental Rights, European Food Safety Agency and OECD. CEP and Milieu have been working together since 2005 and have an agreement to collaborate in the provision of consultancy services and share expertise, knowledge and resources where appropriate.

The School of Environment, Education and Development focuses on environmental planning and management and includes work on flood risk management, environmental assessment, spatial analysis, decision support, regional sustainability issues and urban resilience and energy.

The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering is highly interdisciplinary and combines the expertise of civil engineers, environmental engineers, scientists, mathematicians and social scientists.  Their world-class research portfolio includes leadership of international multi-institutional research consortia in close collaboration with end-users from industry and government. Research in the Department is split into three broad themes: Engineering Geosciences and Geomechanics; Environment; and Infrastructure. 

 

The Sustainable Business Group

SBG provide independent environmental and sustainability consultancy, training and publications to business, government and NGOs. They have helped business clients measure, manage and communicate the sustainability impacts of their operations and supply chains. For government and NGOs they conduct studies to inform evidence based policy making, run multi- stakeholder coalitions and develop strategies to drive sustainable production, consumption and the transition to a green economy.
